What's In Store for August?

What's In Store for August?

August 8th starts the month of the Monkey in 4 Pillars Astrology. The Monkey has a very imaginative and inquisitive mind. There is interest in everything around them. That means August will be filled with opportunities and people will be very crafty and cunning along with being dishonest, so keep your guard up especially since there will be a tendency not to listen to advice.

The metal heavenly stem combines with the Monkey metal branch for August and sets the energy in motion when it comes to being determined. There is plenty of confidence and independence when it comes to work and financial dealings, but socially, the Metal Monkey will look to be around others and enjoy the long summer nights.

Where's the money this month?

In order to activate the money this month it will require you to look within and get in touch with higher self. What are your motives? What drives your financial goals? If they are not in alignment for the greater good, then watch it slip through your fingers. Increase your meditation and yoga practice this month and activate the northeast sector with fire and earth elements. Also activate money flow with moving water. If there are any financial deals in waiting, get that intention written and place it in this portent.

Checking in with Family & Health for This Month...

The energy in the east is very active and being assisted by the direction. With the 5 sha star sitting here for the year, watch feet, neck and tendons especially for males.  This energy is also very active when it comes to interacting with family. Just take it easy when in conversation as things can fly off the handle easily. Adding a little fire to the east will drain the otherwise active star. Of course you should have your bronze metal element (in the form of a bell), as the sound will break up the yearly sha here.

Fortunate Blessings for the Month?

The star that graces the southeast, albeit brings in a creative flare when it comes to writing, it doesn't bode well when it comes to relationships. Fighting may be more prevalent this month and place strain on family matters especially when it comes to finances. Adding the element of fire to the southeast will drain off this problematic star.

Are You Moving Towards Your Goals?

This is the month to let it all out. It's time to go for whatever it is to reach your goal(s). Success and promotion is a definite when you connect to your soul's mission in life. No excuses, just do it! The energy receives assistance in the south. Adding a healthy plant to this direction is a wonderful way to ignite things.

Relationship Heaven or Hell?

This is a tough month when it comes to romance and especially for females. So much so it may give you literally a stomach ache. Break out the metal elements and especially bronze metal and place in the southwest portent for the month and pay attention to your partner.

Summer Fun!

When it comes to having fun this month be creative. Use your common sense when it comes to enjoying the rest of the summer. It doesn't have to cost anything...Even your backyard can turn out to be the best place to sit back and have some fun. The energy here for the month is creative and joyful BUT it also can cause problems when it comes to accidents to mouth and skin areas. If you plan to be away, then make sure your locks are in good working order, as theft is associated with the star that resides in the west this month. Add virtual water element such as a glass jar filled with seashells and drain off that problematic star.

Travel in Your Future?

This month travel is a natural. Going to places you never have been is in the air so why not go for it. It also a great month for gaining networking opportunities that lead to increase finances just in time for that trip! The northwest direction where this white star resides is receiving assistance. Adding some earth elements such as stones or statuary is a perfect way to awaken this energy.

Career Advancement?

August is a good month for advancement in career. This is possible if you are putting in the extra time and learning whatever it is you need to learn. It will not go unnoticed. The north sector naturally assists this beneficial star but adding an element of metal here is a nice way to boost it.

It's All About the Center...

August is a 5 month and that is a very problematic star overall. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong. The key is to take caution and move slowly. It's not advisable to make any major decisions when this star resides in the center position. The best remedy is for a sound vibration such as a bell. By ringing it frequently you are able to break up the qi here. Bronze metal element is also helpful.
Enjoy your August!

The Clutter Connection

The Clutter Connection

Clutter can impact every part of your life and determine your daily life experience. How so? Simple. Every part of the built environment represents a part of your life experience from how you interact with others, your physical and emotional health, finances, and much more. Below is a portion of what you can expect to impact your life when there is an invasion of clutter.

  • East - Clutter here can cause discord between family members, challenge eldest son and present with physical challenges when it comes to the neck, feet or liver and gallbladder systems.
  • Southeast - Here the challenge points to finances in terms of what we can actually save in the bank or other investment venues. Eldest females can incur obstacles alone with challenges with the hips, pelvic and thigh areas.
  • South - Finding it difficult to discover your natural talents or be recognized for them? Here is the area that can be stifled when clutter takes over. Not to mention cardiovascular issues, eye irritations, small intestinal flare ups and female energy being thwarted.
  • Southwest - So relationships are challenging. Perhaps the matriarch of the home is encountering one issue after another or the abdomen seems to always be aggravated. This area can also impact relationship with friends and co-workers too.
  • West - When the energy is stifled here it can impact the skin, mouth, teeth and determine whether or not you are able to enjoy your self. Life can become overly serious when this area is weighted down.
  • Northwest - Look out when it comes to finding new opportunity and engaging in networking ideas. This is an area of potential wealth so when it is closed down it becomes very difficult to get finances moving in the right direction. It also will impact meeting the right people to get you up and running in business. The patriarch is most challenged in this area as well as issues of the head and neck area.
  • North - Feeling a crunch when it comes to your career? Well this is the area that will shut down any advancements for you when it is compromised and especially when it comes to male energy. The bladder and kidney systems can also become vulnerable when obstructions are found here.
  • Northeast - Meditation is one of the most profound ways to connect to higher self and build your intuition as you walk through life. When this area is shut down it is difficult to rely on higher wisdom. The shoulders and hands can also be compromised and especially for young males.
There are so many ways to improve your life experience when you have a plan of action in place. Positive Results with Crystals

Crystals are not only beautiful but contain amazing energy from the earth that can absorb negativity and promote a happy and harmonious environment. Choose crystals that are rough rather than polished. Before positioning them inside your home put them in a bowl and place them outside in the sun or moonlight to energize them. Go ahead and set an intention on these stones while they are outside absorbing natures essence.

Crystals represent the potential for transformation. They are a powerful metaphor for the spirit's transcendence of the flesh. Below are some of the most common crystals to use.

  • Quartz Crystal - also know as white quartz. This stone can energize any area and can lift us to a lighter and more joyful state.
  • Aventurine - a beautiful green stone that is beneficial to purify emotions and boost prosperity.
  • Rose quartz - a beautiful pink stone that calms the heart and gentle releases blockages.
Have fun and choose stones that you are naturally attracted to. The best areas to place these stones are in earth and metal directions such as the southwest, northeast, west or northwest.

Light it Up!

Light it Up!

Mirrors: Us mirrors to maximize the flow of natural light through your home. Light promotes vitality and mental alertness. It its absence it can cause a host of physical and mental problems. Mirrors are fantastic to illuminate dark corners and give the illusion a space is larger.

Placing potted plants or a beautiful statue in front of the mirror is an excellent way to fragment unwanted reflections and double the impact of the beautiful image.

Follow the Sun: If you follow the sun on its journey around the room on a sunny day you will notice how the light quality changes depending on the angle at which the sunlight flows through the window. Plan your interior decor to make the most of daily and seasonal changes.

Sheer Fabrics: Use sheer fabrics as curtain or shades to diffuse and soften the light where it is exceptionally overpowering. This will effectively create an ethereal mood.

Artificial Lighting: Opt for artificial lighting of either full spectrum or incandescent at different heights in every room. The ideal is to have a choice of lighting including individual light source over chairs or artwork.

Picture Lighting: This can be done with small uplights within a picture frame or as a floor standing spot light. This is a great way to enhance a landscape and allow the image to exert its relaxing influence.

Candles: These offer a wonderful source of mood lighting. Seek natural candles to avoid out-gassing of toxic chemicals and place them in interesting holders. You can also float candles in interesting bowls filled with water to establish another level of relaxing energy.

Happy Lighting!

Color

 Color

Here's a great tip when it comes to colors in your home. Use cushions in different hues to add changeable accent of color to suit your mood. Whenever mixing color hues create a harmonious effect by matching tones. Neutral hues, such as off whites, creams, buffs or grays provide a subdued background to off-set splashes of more vibrant hues.

When using color in bedrooms think yin or subdued colors as these rooms are meant to relax in. When it comes to the master bedroom remember to add that sense of romance in your color choice. Be careful when it comes to patterns as too many patterns of different kinds may clash and disturb you mental equilibrium.
